Today is the last day of operation for my friendster blog.

Due to Blogger, Jeffrey Lim Kok Keong has entirely used up the maximum blog space (50 MB), within the period from 2006 to 2009. I had but no choice to change my new blog address to http://jeffseenhear.blogspot.com/ with immediate effect from 25th February 2009, 5.20am.

I, thereby, thank all viewers for patronising my blog from the period 2006-2009 February, 25th. 4.43am, Monday, 230209, Windy

To my people, Monday is the day that 99.9% of the Singaporean do not look forward to! Reason? It is the start of a long week…towards next upcoming weekend.

Forgive me for placing the pictures of food I ate, as I know while looking at the screen, you might have the inconvenience of having to wide your salva, but if you have to, please do so!

Friday 20/02/09

Me and Wei Keong went for Yoga Lin You Jia Trick concert @ Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Saturday 210209

I finally met my ex-employer, she is more than my boss, but my mentor and also someone who sees me and take great care of me in my secondary school.

She is a kind-hearted lady whom I had been working for her in her shop for the last 6 years plus, which is also the longest number of years that I had worked in an environment so far in my life.

It was a gathering with Me, David, Kelly and Auntie Connie and Auntie Connie’s Mother and Auntie Connie’s brother daughter.

Really great time together, yet we did not take a picture in my hand phone to capture this perfect moment!

Second Half of Saturday!

Me, Wei Keong and Colin went for Jun Yuan’s niece B day @ Downtown East. It was a family gathering seeing Yuan ’s parents, sister, Kah Leng and many more, but before going to the Chalet @ Pasir Ris, we had some stuff @ this Hong Kong style cafe @ Pasir Ris…

On Sunday…

After gym with Colin, both of us went for some re-treat @ TCC for some drinks and finger food.

We ordered a drink for ourselves and my favourite Potato Wedges!

Potato Wedges! Ah!~~

Second half of Sunday

A private meeting with Patrick, Adelene. It was a planning for the upcoming fun for sun-tanning @ Sentosa, it will be one of the look forward event after New Year 08-09…

We had Potato Wedges Ah!! My favourite! Scarlet Frost was the drink I ordered…

Adelene and I ordered Fish and Chips while Patrick ordered Melva Foccacia, a dish that is simiar to toast but with cheese in between the toast.

3.25am, Wednesday, 180209, Cloudy

Another sleepless night.

It seems becoming a habit to sleep late at night, though I had finished my on-hand project and assignments and settled down for sleep.

Yet, I simply can’t close my eyes to end the day on bed.

Loads of thoughts?

Maybe, yes!

I just finishing typing out the referencing for my team report writing and emailed to my team mates. Hopefully, before this weekend concluded, our team will be able to submit the project (with peace)!

Definitely will!

Last week…

One of Colin’s friends, Timothy had persuaded us to support a local play team @ Victoria Theatre.

It was a opportunity which I should as a Singaporean to have a chance to step into the Victoria Theatre, thus me and Colin agreed to watch the play title ” Dark Knuts: “Welcome to Avenue Quantum”

Starring local talents: Jonathan Lim, Rodney Oliveiro, Judy Ngo, and Terence Tay

SYNOPSIS:

Singapore’s one and only live parody sketch show Chestnuts is back for its 12th sidesplitting installment of spoof songs, parody sketches and moments of sheer comic ecstasy!

Join Chestnuts creator Jonathan Lim, comedy partners Rodney Oliveiro and Judy Ngo, and hilarious newcomer Terence Tay(Living With Lydia) as they pay tribute to the year’s biggest and most memorable films, plays, musicals and current events!

All accompanied by the versatile and irreverent musical genius of Bang Wenfu!!

Website about the play…

Personally…

Apart from having to enter Victoria Theatre to watch this play, it led to appreciate local talents on stage even more than the past.

Not just local artistes from the local stations, but local talents that are performing that you will clap along, thumbs Up at the end of the play and talents full of synergy and energy to give their best in each performance especially to their audiences with laughter and challenging thoughts at the end of the play.

This is the plot I am looking for, which are missing in local dramas and those transmitted on local station.

I hope we, as Singaporean will take the time to appreciate such plays if not, they will not be able support them, even with National Arts Council as the backbone to all the activities.

5.07pm, Tuesday, 170209, Cloudy

I personally feel, the beginning of each new year is one of the best time in the entire year, though as we grow older in number, and even our facial appearance do change. Yet, we can’t deny that new year is the best time whereby people will give the best and enjoy themselves to the fullest.

I can’t think of any best reason why I used to like CNY so much, I guess it is the RECEIVING ANG BAOs sesssion from family and relatives!

I guess, you will agree with me.

And I guess, why people avoid this CNY seasons by going holidays,

I can think of 2 big possible reasons…

1st: No choice, going holiday is the best time to escape giving ANG BAOs for married couples or Unmarried singles who reached the age to settle down yet still single.

2nd: To avoid to be shot with questions that hurt the inner soul, e.g. When are you getting married?

Any plans to find a boyfriend or girlfriend? I can introduce….

This is a picture I took during Jun Yuan ’s mother birthday celebration which is a combine celebration for “Ren” festival.

One of the biggest family members present in an occassion. I guess, this is what a big family experiences, the joy of unity and happiness together.

Well for me,

I personally hate festival that are of economically driven.

Especially Feb 14, Valentine Day. It is a festival for couples and retailers.

Why?

To test whether is your loved ones is true to u?!

Or

To the retailers,

the best time and the most reasons to increase price to boast up their revenue?!

Luckily, I was not badly affected.

1.40am, Friday, 060209, Windy

A good start is the theme which I name the post title for today, while doing my work, combing every household, I received a call from Yingting, an ex-colleague. She is one of the few that I kept in touch with till now, from A.C.E till now. A great friend of mine.

We had a meet up for lunch @ Clementi City Vibe. Just as you maybe wondering where on earth is Clementi City Vibe, it is located at the previous old Mc Donald’s @ next to clementi Interchange.

I was early, waiting for the princess to arrive. Finally, when she arrived, the familiar voice and smiles warms the day.

We went to this new Japanese restaurant, Ramen Ten for sushi. The concept of eating is similar to Sakae Sushi. Yet, as it just open for business, it’s having a discount on the colour plates on the conveyer.

Here are some pictures that I had shot, while having lunch and chatting with Yingting

The sushi are neatly placed on the plates, the ambience’s of the place is great, with perfect lighting and music played in the restaurant.

Overall, great service with friendly crew that serves us well. And I guess, it is affordable to all.

Guess what is this sushi…

Hmm, the colour of the sushi don’t look appealing yet it is delicious, this is a shrimp sushi…!

A picture of Yingting with her favourite sushi!

@ Company

I was another day of learning for me, I did not hit field today as it is my school day but I make sure, I do pick up new skills in improving myself and renew my customer services tactics so that when the right time and right opportunity strikes, I will be able to get near to my goal and not nervous of any obstacles ahead for me.

I really hope I will break ice which is my 0. As tomorrrow and the next day will be a critical day of my presence in the company, but I left the company.

My project manager and also my boss spoke to me as she knew from my mentor and I guess the number are the right facts that is reflecting that I am not doing well as expected from him, though he don’t spell them out in conversation but for a organisation to be able to survive and while the rest even the new guys outperform better than me in numbers, I guess, I was hold back was both a “alertness” that my numbers in the company is numbered… though he did not speak it out in details of what will be happening me as he phase the words to me in a nicer manner as it is good to be keeping positive yet don’t stress yourself.

YET HOW CAN I DON’T STRESS MYSELF AS I HAD NOT EVEN crack the 0 digit.

HAHAHA!:D

Tomorrow will be a long day I guess..

Overall, while walking out of the company, I remember how I walk up the stairs, feeling both enthusiastic and nervous of my first and second interview.

And now the second week, walking down the stairs, doubting my presence in the company…

Well, tomorrow will be a day to learn something definitely, and till Sunday, another day to hit the field and to prove my abilities and use the skills I pick up on field which I name it my last day and will determine my last day to stay or go…(myself, though my company did not spell it out, but I can sense it :| )

Today, I had a good sleep!

Thanks for the break after training!

2.06am, Thursday, 050209, Windy

It is a challenging day.

I was on my own combing every household on Wednesday, 040209.

Just as you may be wondering what am I doing combing 1 block of flat and every household, I just accepted a job, which is going about to door to door representing a charity foundation, “ to do a awareness problem with all the residents from the block and at the same time, to save as many lives as possible.”

This ” ” coded is the phase that I had been saying for the past one week, I was on a part time basis, every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, I will be going to field with my other colleagues in the company to help raise fund for a local charities.

Knowing my job scope, I was able to meet many different kinds of Singaporean, from those nervous that you are here to sell them something which they defined you as ” salesman” or “promoter” in technical terms.

Well, I also met people who are willing to listen yet it might be economic situation, bad reports of misuse of donations from NKF saga and Ren Ci issues, thus all the charity organisation and even the one I am currently helping is also affected, as people will pictures ” all charities are the same”.

I was alone without my mentor with me. I was more relaxed as I will not be corrected of my mistakes going door to door. I was placed on immediate test to be positive as rapid as possible and smile to the next door of the person I will be meeting. I was a quick picking-own-self-up process which I had learnt.

Well, this past 4 days, hitting the battle field, it was challenging to be seeing people of all kinds, from housewives, to retirees, working adults, children even doggies from the loudest BARKS ever to the quietest and cutest doggies.

I will remember…Yesterday

I was offered a drink from Ms Lim, a mother and working adult, a icy Ice Soda using her family cup, as I was doing my full pitch with her and lost my voice, I was sharing my purpose of coming to door to door and my voice just go off.

Though she did not sign up, yet she offered me a cup of drink which makes my day and melt my heart to even work harder for the patients and family who are willing for the donation.

Well overall,

I was a rewarding experiences, though it was uneasy to go alone.

A mix feeling of joyful as I was not watched by my mentor, but uneasy becos I got to “pretend” a brave front to all the people I will meeting when started but brainwashing is good for me, as I was really doing something good, so fear NOT.

Life goes on…and keep smiling like below…

Hope everyone will be feeling like watching a spectacular fireworks with smiles and cheers again!
