I just arrived home, one and a half hours ago.
I was at a friend’s place watching TV, while the rest of my friends were playing mahjong. As usual, when there is mahjong session @ Yuan place, I will be watching the cable TV, an korean drama, ON AIR.
This afternoon…@ Jurong Point (Rui En ’s Autograph Session)
Before meeting Yuan, Kah Leng, Colin and Keong, I went to Jurong Point for Rui En Autograph session @ Jurong Point. It was crowded with fans of Rui En and many shoppers, there was not much space to even stand at a spot as it was really crowded.
This is Rui En ’s second autograph session for her 2nd album, 共和国. I really like this album, it is different from her first debut album, six years back, without the presence of Jay Chou and Fang Wen Shan.
The lyrics of the songs in Rui En ’s second album are all written by her. She is talented to be the songwriter for her album, I guess, not many artistes can do that.
To many people, she may look cool or known as the “ice queen”. Yet today, she smiled. Truly, her smile breaks the hearts of my fans as she is unlike other 6 princess whom are cheerful. Yet her smiles are precious to the eyes of her fans, as her smiles indicate her delightful and warming supports of her fans for her all this years.
She has her attitude, she has her style of presenting her works, her way of meeting her friends and fans and even people around her. Some people says, Rui En is simply like Faye Wong, someone who has strong character.
Yes, she is.
As least, she is real unlike some artistes who seems friendly on camera but off air, they are people from a different world.
I brought her album, 共和国. It is because of theme song from the drama, 不凡的爱. The theme song, 慢舞 describe love is like a slow dance with the one U like, slowly and carefully to enjoy the enchanting moments with the person you like, a world that belongs to both of you without others breaking in the world of love. Romantic and smoothing music by Rui En.
It was really glad and its brighten up my day to be able to take a picture with Rui En in person.

And also, with Dennis, one of YES 933 DJs in person.

This week was pretty normal, yet, from the previous post that I had uploaded, it had been 10 days, thus, it is time to write a new post to update about myself and my blog readers. Well, there were 2 matters which drew my attention…
Last week…
1st matter…
On Tuesday–> I had another wisdom tooth extracted at a dental clinic recommended by my braces doctor, it is located along Clementi Central.
It was packed with my patient from different age group; I walked in for the extraction.
Feeling agitated because of the pain and the queue, as I had to wait for more than one and a half hours before my turn. Yet thankfully, I did have a book to read while beating the waiting time.
The dentist is a experienced and professional, he could see I was feeling nervous because of the extraction, thus he tried to calm me down by having a chat with me and create some joke on the stuff he met recently. The extraction of my wisdom tooth took less than 3 minutes, and my 7th wisdom tooth was extracted out…!
Yes, this is the 7th wisdom tooth extracted out because it has to create room to straight in the tooth that will move in line to the rest of my teeth. Thus, the extraction has to be done.
Running down from clinic to clinic from my tightening of the teeth @ Orchard, the dentist in charge of my case, Dr Poon, is just usual friendly to greet her patient with warming smile. While waiting for her assistant to prepare the equipment, she had a chat with me on the drama, little Nyonya.
Dr Poon asked me,” whether did I watch the 9pm drama, The Little Nyonya?”
My response, “Yes…definitely especially the ending” (though I am not a royal fan of this drama)
We had a discussion of the ending of the drama, I can sense the disappointment from her while speaking of Yue Niang (acted by Jeantte Aw) and Chen Xi (acted by Qi Yu Wu) was eventually not together…
I added,” eventually, the plot was written to place the couple together, yet because the storywriter changed the plot to have them separated as spell out on 8 days and I weekly during the interview with the drama team.”
But in the end, yesterday @ 9.55pm, a edited version of the story of Little Nyonya had changed due to the discussion by viewers and listeners from different listeners who were not pleased with the complicated, misleading and disappointing ending of Yue Niang and Chen Xi not been together at the end…
My thoughts…
Well, sometimes, though those who do love each other, even if it is fate that does not bring them together, it will be glad for one party to see his or her ex is living happily with someone.
幸福不是拥有,而是看到对方快乐的活着!
Well, as in reality, the king and the princess does not live happily ever after…

Jeantte Aw and Qi Yu Wu in The Little Nyonya
2nd matter
Sometimes I do hope that I do have some courage to face some friends, those sometimes I may look happy to see them yet inside me, within me, on the street, I might avoid them.
Albert arranged to meet up with Gary as he is back in Singapore, with the 4 of us, Me, Xiu Ling, Kai Boon, Albert and Xian Hui.
I was sort of feeling troubled and struggling whether should I or should I not meet them, as I had to say the Taipei trip in October 2008 was a “pleasant” trip which placed the friendship into tests, one after another…(Some disputes which are inconvenient to share here)
Yet, I still agreed to meet them, as those I may be feeling furious over some stuff that happened in the trip, yet we are friends after all.
Yet, as Gary had to meet his customer last time, thus he was unable to join us, it was left with me, Xiu Ling, Kai Boon and Albert (I did not know that Xian Hui will be joining us)
Well, I agreed to meet up for dinner, yet the time and venue was changed, thus in the end, I was late as I was held up with my friends meet up (Wei Keong and Colin) @ Suntec.
@ Holland Village
I finally saw them.
The feeling was normal, no more hard feeling of the images of the Taipei trip sad moments, the chat among Kai Boon and the rest started pretty well on her work stuff…
Well, sometimes in life, there are obstacles that do bring people who used to close to you to be distance as lack of communication or miscommunication, yet it is sometimes up to us to whether to face them again or leave them alone from oneself…
I choose to face them again as 10 years of friendship is not easy to build, yet it takes 1 day to destroy all the effort…
At the end, we had a discussion on how we will be celebrating Chinese New Year this year…

Due to the lack of profile pictures that the 6 of us took over the years, I had no choice but to bring this ‘old’ pictures that we took in 2005…(No choice, but to see our changes over the 4 years)

As a music lover, I will prefer music that will enhance my feeling at that moment or songs, music that will represent a soul to be filled within…Thus, I do not just limit myself from listening to chinese songs, whereas english songs, Japanese and even Korean songs though I may not understand them, might become a theme song that truly represent myself at the point of my needs.
In 2008, newcomers in the chinese music in various singing competitions had reigned the chinese music industry. Yet, the following 3 newcomers are the most outstanding among all the newcomers.
Newcomers such as Yoga Lin 林宥嘉, Jam Hsiao 萧敬腾, Aska Yang 杨宗纬 are the most outstanding newcomers in the chinese pop industry. The three newcomers are from the same singing competition organised in Taiwan.
BEST Albums 2008
1ST BEST ALBUM - ASKA YANG

Aska Yang 杨宗纬 is the outstanding newcomer, his style of presentation of songs had won the hearts of many female fans, however, rumours of his bad attitude and his arrogance towards TV crews had caused his contract to be terminated by his agency and as his contract with Warner music had ended…thus his rising and down were the most shocking moments for her fans.
His first album, 鸽子 and his concert DVD Star! Start! 星空传奇演唱会 are the most selling album in 2008 first half of the year 2008, bringing Jay Chou position as the most selling male singer to be threathened in 2008.
Yet his song like 鸽子, 洋葱,幸福的风,对爱渴望,让 are the album hits!
2ND BEST ALBUM - YOGA LIN

Yoga Lin 林宥嘉 came in first in the same singing competition. His record company, HIM International had 3 concerts to market out Yoga Lin voice so as to differentiate him from Jam Hsiao and Aska Yang.
His first album 神秘嘉宾 was a impression work which won many good remarks of his selection of songs and his unique presentation of the songs in his album had won him number of awards especially his singles 神秘嘉宾.
The 6 hits songs in the album 神秘嘉宾,伯乐,残酷月光, 病态,眼色,心有林夕,传说 . His album second hits 伯乐 had won many Yoga many awards in the Taiwan, Hongkong and even Singapore Hits awards, Top 10 best songs of the year 伯乐.
神秘嘉宾 has also won the BEST ALBUM FOR THE YEAR 2008.
3RD BEST ALBUM - JAM HSIAO

Jam Hsiao had proved to many Taiwan fans and Asia fans to the best vocal in many music awards. His first hits was a love song featuring Ah Mei 一眼瞬间 was named as the most difficult to sing duet for the year 2008! and his first album 萧敬腾同名专辑 (First Live 影音限定版) had topped many music charts in Taiwan.
His album hits are 收藏 , 原谅我, 王子的新衣, 奋不顾身 , 疼爱 ,Blues are the best hits recommended.
4TH BEST ALBUM & BEST FEMALE SINGER -ELVA HSIAO
Elva Hsiao re-joined EMI music, now renamed as Gold Typhoon music. Her comeback to EMI had won her a contract worth NT$250 million which is the price that EMI use to sign 2 artists including Jolin and Yanzi in 2005 and 2006. Elva Hsiao is worth the cost to sign her as Gold Typhoon music had stated.
Her position in the chinese music was affected of her move to Warner music in 2005 to 2008 feb, her 3 years in Warner music was cold-storage due to Warnermusic management changes and she managed to release one album in her career in the 3 years waiting, 1087. Yet it was not her best album either as her leg injury has affected her promotion and concerts in the asian country.
Yet in 2008, she re-joined EMI music and her record label had stated the “unlimited” use of promotion fund for Elva had won lots of support and has bring Elva singing career to a higher label. She was the best singing female artiste for 2008.
Her 4 versions of albums…

真摯夏娃

自主夏娃

勇敢夏娃
The album covers with the 4th versions including a dvd of her MVs had won support around the chinese pop market.
Especially, the promotion @ Singapore, which is one of the promotions events that I attended in 2008, purchase 4th verison of the Elva Hsiao, fans will be able to attend the free concert @ Max Pavilion.

It was a comeback for her. The title of her album, 3 faces with the different sides of Elva had won her the title of PUMA girl and the Puma advertisement spokeperson 2008 and her single, I’ll be there, was one of the top download singles for the year 2008.
Recommended hits in the album, I’ll Be There, 衝動, 兩個人的寂寞, More More More, 速配程度, 類似愛情
5th BEST ALBUM IN 2008 - SHE
It is none other than pop group, SHE, the theme of the album is FM SHE, which SHE had become radio DJs and the theme of the album especially the selection of the songs are songs which fans of different skin colours will choose and like, thus the different kinds of songs, from love songs, to fast songs, house, rap are some of the songs type you will find in this album…
SHE never fail to bring up a new style of looks with the use of different colours from the hair to the clothings…it brings out the young spirits of the girls.
The 2 packaging of FM SHE had bring shine to the chinese industry with the use of colours, green, black, brown etc colours to bring out the ever-lasting and ever-lasting pop group in the music industry.
Recommended hits in the album…宇宙小姐, 沿海公路的出口, 天亮了, 安靜了, 612星球.
6TH BEST ALBUM IN 2008 - Jay Chou
It is Jay Chou. Though I am not a really 100% fan of his works, yet, he did maintain a standard of his presentation of his music and movies. Using the theme of magic and horoscope to win the hearts of girls and his fans.
His style of clothings had bring up successfully lots of discussion of his J ladies, including Jolin, Peggy Hou and Jiang Yu chen etc. Thus which often his J ladies will outshine his music, especially this album, yet his album 魔杰座 was one of the most selling album for 2008.
Recommeneded hits in the album…
稻香,
說好的幸福呢,
時光機,
魔術先生,
蘭亭序
Most Courageous award 2008 - Jolin Tsai

1ST VERSION

2ND VERSION
I guess missing out closely is Jolin Tsai, ah mei, Sun Yanzi as they are extremely quiet as they did not release any chinese albums in year 2008.
But I will say for Jolin Tsai, though she just release a book and an english album and though there is not much promotion for her english album 愛的練習語 Love Exercise, her english had top the chart g-music @ Taiwan for 2 weeks.
2 versions of Love Exercise albums, though it was her last album with Gold Typhoon (EMI music) as she joined Warner music, her packaging of her albums did bring lots of discussions in her presentation. I guess, though english is not her best languague, yet, her on-going improvement in different areas had won lots of support of her efforts to bring changes!
Other albums in my list from 6th to 10th positions are:
7th May Day 后青春期的诗 album>
8th Soda green 小巨蛋演唱会 LIVE 陪我歌唱>
9th Joanna Wang
10th Tanya Chua
What are the other 2008 album will continue to shine to 2009…

Goodbye to 2008 and say hello to 2009.
I was back home at 12.30pm. I had a great start and party with my 6 friends, Augustine, Selene, Adelene, Jian Ci, Azlin and myself…
A total of 6 of us, had planned to book a hotel room at carlton Hotel Singapore, room 24-25 was the room that we stayed. It was a different idea that was discussed among the group during our phone conferencing.
This is a very different style of celebrating the new year 2009 with this group of friends, as this is the first time that we had met up for the new year celebration, and the idea was really great and fresh.

Jian Ci was the first to arrive thus he did the check in the hotel room. I was the second to arrive, thus while waiting for the rest to finish their work and joined us for the celebration later, me and Patrick went to the pool for a swim.

It was a refeshing and relaxing afternoon.

However, we just had a 1 hour swim. Augustine called, saying he will be reaching at 5 plus thus me and Jian ci after having to do our wash up, went to Raffles City Shopping Centre to meet up with Augustine for some drinks.

And at the same, while waiting for the rest to arrive, me, Jian ci, Azlin and Augustine went to the supermarket to get some snacks, chips, beers, soft drinks etc for the night…

Around 5 plus
Selene and Augustine arrived. I was really a long time since we met, I guess the last time that we seen the big group gathered was at double O clubbing.
After we shopped for the stuff at the supermarket, we went to the hotel to place our stuff and after a half an hour rest, we are all ready to go for dinner.
Dinner

For dinner, we went to this open space restaurant located at the basement of Raffles City named Out of the Pan.
It is an open concept restuarant style of dining, with open concept kitchen whereby the cooking can be viewed by the customers.

Jian Ci ordered the yum yum mushroom crepe. For me, I ordered the fish masala crepe which is a interesting fusion of the combination of spicy, fragrant favours. You will simply loved it as the favours are blend so well that makes you wanna go for more…
However, for big eaters, the crepe will definitely be unable to fill your hunger as the portion of the serving is small for some of us…For me, I am ok!
After dinner, everyone suggested to go back to the hotel for the 9pm shop, little Nyonya. Though I am not a super fan of Little Nyonya, but I had to praise Jeantte Aw and Joanne Peh acting had improved. Yet, it seems sadden as those who are evil will live longer, whereas those who are kind-hearted does not have a good ending…! Sad!
Well, after the drama, Little Nyonya.
We were all set to go to the 1 Fullerton, which is near the Esplanade for the fireworks…!Reaching there around 10.50pm, Jian Ci, Azlin, Augustine, Selene, Adelene and I sat down at the side of the road, as the road was packed with crowds…

While waiting for the fireworks, we had a chat, and I threw some questions like, what are things that happen in 2008 makes you feel contented and those events that cause sadness…
This went on to keep the ball rolling with questions and answer as Azlin and Jian ci who were tired waiting for the fireworks almost feel asleep.

The fireworks was spectacular and promising…as the fireworks exploded high, the spirits of the crowd grew even higher and the place was filled with cheering and clapping to welcome the new year with hopes and joy!

I had took a number of pictures which I will be loading up to the blog…!

We had a hard time leaving 1 Fullerton and it took us 1 hour to walk from where we are to Carlton Hotel Singapore just opposite Raffles City…!

Around 2pm…
We watched the cable tv till 5 plus…while we had chat and play some card games, and the girls, Selene and Adelene had their time to catch up with lots of stuff that they missed out in 2008…!
I slept at 6am. I was unable to sleep well, as the temperature of the room was really cold, and I was trying my best to grab a part of the blanket yet, the girls we 5 of us were sleeping together, got them…!
At 10am…
It was left with me, Augustine, Selene and Adelene as Jian ci and Azlin left for work…! The 4 of us walked to the Mc Donald’s to have breakfast.

I was a great start to have good breakfast and after breakfast, we took some pictures before checking out the hotel …and took the MRT home.
It was walking home swiftly, feeling sleepy…!
My wishes for 2009…
Well, as the fireworks marks the end of 2008 and the start of the tougher year 2009, yet how, this year will be a more promising year for me and everyone especially those who are currently studying just like me and those who are working, earn as much as possible before the rainy seasons comes…!
I do hope I will be able to find a job soon! And I will score well and do better in achieving better grades in the coming semester!
In 2008
The HAPPIEST events 2008
- ORD in June (Need not to have to face people I dislike and some worse people in life ever in camp)
- Able to join Tourism Board and be part of the F1 team in preparation for the big event.
- Get accepted in UniSIM with the course Psychology with Business that I always wanted (Hope my choice of course is right)
The MISERABLE events in 2008
- After ORD, I was lost in the track to take in chosing the job I want, luckily I did my part time degree, thus I am not lost in studies.
- Lost a big group of army friends, and the strength to move forward, having a hard time to go to normal sleeping time as most of duty time are midnight…
- Able to go to Taiwan in October (once again), yet the trip was a test of friendship between my secondary friends. After the trip, the friendship got worse for some moments yet the phase that describe the feeling is “Living under the same roof is about accepting others bad points and compromising to some extend!” Yet, if there it is fate that cause some disputes, I guess, it is better to see some people true colours then to doubt my judgement of accepting my own community of friends!
The MOST painful moments of 2008
- I had braces after 3 years of consideration and had a total of 6 wisdom tooth extracted as at December 2008. And there is one more to go! SIAN…
- Moving house is a painful moment, September and October was the most painful moments in 2008, lots of disputes in family which did not even know the root of the problems till now…
Gain and lost in 3 events of things that happened in 2008
- Gain 2 new friends while accepting the job in a insurance firm (but left after 2 months) Yingting and Velon in event of getting the license to sell insurance yet in the event of getting the license, I gave up….
- Me and 2 army mates went to sign up for motorcycle classes, but after 3 classes of scoldings from my family and BBDC trainers, I left, as I was paying to be scolded every lessson as I had already a class 3, thus friends said,” No point getting a motorcycle license and letting family to be worried about safety”
- Move to a new house. I was busy with school and work (in tourism board) and many things are not done and family disputes, anger among the family raise the the highest point…

3.23am, Tuesday, 301208, Windy
It had been quite some time that I had not been packed with a busy schedule.
There used to be a bunk mate that will asked me, ” How do I spent my weekend?”
In the past, whenever I tried this bunk mate of mine that I met up with 3 groups of friends for lunch, dinner and chill with beers, he will be stunned that how do I actually split the time among my friends….
Part 1
This weekend, I did… cos waking up at 11am, I did my wash up and still wondering should I get a haricut, as my haircut is a bit long, thus before 2009 comes, I should do something to it…
In the end, I did not…
I met Ting Ann (dear) at 1pm at Orchard MRT. We went out to do some shopping for Chinese New Year. He needed some guide on some shopping tips thus we walked to whole Orchard and almost all the Malls you can find to do search on the clothings, shoes for CNY…
For Lunch, we just had 1 box of Japanese octopus balls with ice cream…

Part 2
Gathering with Alpha charlie mates
Last saturday 271208, I was thankfully to be invited to the Alpha charlie gathering 2008. Since ORD till now, this is the first time that I had met up with my ex-Tengah platoon mates, both Alpha (Blue represent Alpha) and Charlie(Orange represent Charlie) mates.
Jian Sheng was one of the organisers, it was a great effort of him and the others to be able to gather back at least more than 5 mates from each platoons as now, each and everyone of us has our commitments thus able to meet once again before 2009 is really a memorable moment that is worth writing down in my blog…

The above pictures are some of my “regulars” who had been working with me for the passed one year plus at a base located at West…we worked really hard to ensure the safety of our premises…
Rayner (the most talented guy in design)–>Patrick (one of the jokers in the group, always smiling…in the past, most obedient)–>Me (the most handsome) –>Jian Sheng (best buddy! In all odds, we stand as one! )–>Ivan(the best raper in the group! especially Jay chou songs and rap)–>KC(used to be the most emo…yet the “cutest” in the group!)
Blue represent alpha!

Jian Sheng, Best buddy in the platoon! I guess the one and only buddy who really have the same hobbies as me…watching TV and listening to Yes933 and eat…are the 3 stuff that we enjoyed! That’s why we are just as close as brothers ba!

Not forgotting the 2 important mates from Charlie plaoon, they are the two important mates in TAB, Zhiqin (Robo) and BJ (always singing)…
Food ordered by us…!

^Dinner at Waraku Japanese restaurant^
They are the ones who accompanied me from the same Changi platoon 2 to TAB…Especially Zhiqin (Robo) who is the one that had witness all my changes from BMTC school 1 Gryphon to Changi to TAB~

The guy ^ standing in the picture behind me and Robo is Wood…
He is the official deskman…Wood is the one that guide and taught me lots of stuff during one time, I was assigned to be the deskman, he taught me all the stuff which helped me loads! As I was the night deskman, thus running one man show for him sometimes, was not easy! He is also one of my best mates who understand me in camp!
This are the people that make the platoon and TAB is special place…to remember…the people who used to stand togther or doing duty together!
Wish everyone, the best in everything you do!
After the dinner at Waraku Japanese restaurant, some of the group went for Ice cream, while some went for KTV…

Drinks served at Peace Centre KTV which one cost 10 dollars per person…

Part 3
Sometimes I do wonder, when comes to play and meeting up with my best friends, I had energy that is rechargeable minutes the next event comes.
After having the beancurd that Wayne and wood had brought Oppsite Peace Centre, I went to meet keong, Yuan, Kah Leng and colin as they are at the same first having dinner…
We had arranged to meet for my second round of KTV session…!
The weird couples combination, Jun Yuan with Colin while Wei Keong with Kah Leng…
Me? Busy taking pictures!

kah Leng Vs Wei Keong

Jun Yuan VS Colin

Unlimited drinks at Top One KTV!

5.35am, Saturday, 271208, Windy
I guess Chinese New Year is really coming…
For the passed two weeks, I had two friends that had called me along to be their “guide” in buying their 2009 CNY clothings…
I am not really into CNY, or hoping 2009 will be coming asap, that also goes for CNY as I don’t really like CNY as yearly, CNY will be two or three days of restriction for me as many shops will be closed and the CNY programes are mostly celebration and maybe as most of relatives are at Malaysia, thus unless I am invited to friend’s places, if not, practically, I will staying at home…(Sian…)
Well, I am blessed that at least I need not be visiting relatives as all of them are at Malaysia…that I don’t really know or don’t wish to see as practically, yearly, they will be asking sensitive questions that you wish they will not asked…
For example…
When are you finding a girlfriend? ( my response: Mind your own business…)
When do you plan to get married? ( my response: Do I care? freedom is my RIGHTS!)
How is your work? (my response: Even if it is not good, I still have to lie to say Not bad…
Well, if I say, I am not doing great…the relatives will spread the words and keep asking)
Christmas…
To me, Christmas is a festival of love and joy, whereby people around me will exchange gifts and will be willing to spend hours to shop for friends…
Christmas Carol, Santa, gifts, christmas tree, turkey…( though this year I did not have chance to eat…so disappointing)
Well, this year…I was waken by the handphone by keong, calling me to check, where am I?
And what am I doing now?
At 11am, where will I be…(my response: as now is holiday, OS in mind, Sleeping lei…)
I planned to have a longer sleep as the night before I slept quite late, around 6am, as I was typing my resume and updating some details, thus I planned to woke up at 12noon, so that at least I can get at least 6 hours of sleep, yet this plan was declare impossible as keong called to ask…
What time will we be meeting?
Yet he called to tell me, he will be working overtime, till 5pm…and Colin will meet me for lunch only… ( I was thinking, I can skip it, if you are busy with it… or can have it later…)
Once keong told Colin to meet me for lunch, the calls keep coming, I knew I got to wake up…
I suggested to have a simple lunch at Telok Bangah Market (the market opposite safra @ Mount Faber) as it will be closing for renovation, and as one of friends’ grandma is selling desserts and will be closing her stores in days time, thus I hoped I will have chance to eat her desserts before the 20 years store will be gone forever…

And yes, I managed to eat the desserts for the last time before my friends’ grandma officially retired…
I ordered Cheng teng…( a dessert that my friend will always take one away for me if we went Sentosa, or go out)

I like the cheng teng as it is not too sweet and there is sweet potato which enhance the taste and variety of the choice of cheng teng, and most importantly, it cost only $1.20.
Such prices will never be found in Clementi…

He drove…thankfully, I had a ride, but I did not know that this lunch appointment become a whole day event, as after that, while waiting till Keong dismissed from work, it is already 5.30pm++,
We went to Sentosa to get her ‘friend’s ‘ gift…and joined Jun Yuan and Kah Leng for dinner…at Bugis.
It is raining…instead of snowing, I guess, this is what it make Singapore so special during December as instead of expecting the snow, you will expect a heavy rain till late night…
Me, Keong, Colin, Jun Yuan and Kah Leng met up for dinner at Bugis, however, as most of the KTV were booked, thus as it is costly to sing on public holidays, thus we decided to play bowling instead @ Safra Mount Faber…
Below are some of the pictures that we took…

5.33am, Wednesday, 241208, Rain

Placing aside recession, bad economic situation, I guess, the best time before the new year approaches, Christmas is the last second public holidays that we will celebrate. Apart from enjoying the last minute shopping and wrapping the gift which will be given to friends or loved ones, I guess, Christmas is the festival that has not lose its shine and the seasons of giving and accompany of friends coming together to enjoy the seasons of love.
I guess, in Singapore the activities that we can do is limited, either, catching a movie in threatre, singing KTV, or even have a group of friends to enjoy the nights in pubs and clubs or having a simple yet enjoyable christmas eve dinner with friends will be a choice that I can think of…

Well, for those who are not really into celebrating this festival, staying at home and rest is another choice that one can take to replenish enough rest for the next working day…(Ohh)
For me…
Supposing I had planned to meet 3 friends for lunch tomorrow noon, but as one of our friends has her work commitments, thus meeting them for lunch is really impossible…
As for night…
I am still waiting and thinking …whether to join my friends for dinner and going clubbing at one of night spots…as wednesday night is ladies nite!
Recently, this is my third movie of the month, I guess, watching movie is not a bad choice to make…it is a action movie! It is not my first choice that I will make yet this movie ( Ip man ) starring Donnie Yen, Simon Yam, Lynn Hung (Aaron Kwok ’s girlfriend…)

Story line…
The movie is adapted from the life story of Ip Man, the grand master of the Wing Chun style of Kung Fu and Sifu (master) of legendary Kung Fu superstar Bruce Lee.
Personal view:
I feel this movie is overall attracted me with Donnie Yen way of presenting Bruce Lee’s master. No doubt in having Donnie Yen as the leading cast for this movie, yet for those who likes action movie, this is the choice to make, as it covers a bit of history of the life of Brunce Lee’s Kongfu master…
Yet, the disappointing part of the movie was a scene which starring a conversation with Donnie Yen and a Japanese General who Donnie Yen was from China and knew only chinese, yet in the presentation, the General who was a Japanese commander was using Japanese to Donnie Yen of his wish to challenge Donnie Yen kongfu and stating this terms….yet it was done without a interpreter which is misleading and disappointing
as in the next scene
the interpreter appeared in the second scene with another Japanese General which cause laughter in the movie threatre when the conversation took place ….while watching the movie…
I guess this is the part which minus some points…and the lack of advertising and promotion from radio and TV is a disappointment as it is overall pleasing movie to watch!
But overall, I will rate 3.5 out of 5 for the action and the moves of Ip man, the master of Bruce Lee.
Lastly,

On Wednesday, I had a great time bringing the kids for movie at VivoCity, though after movie, my sister and I got to transport the four kids back home, yet the movie, that we had watched and the laughter that we had was worth the price to pay (though reaching home, I lied flat on the bed…)
The kids had hoped my sister would bring them to watch Bolt, a Walt Disney Pictures production which had caught my attention and the attention of many kids.
Storyline
From Walt Disney Pictures comes an animated comedy adventure featuring a super-dog named Bolt (voice of John Travolta), whose days are filled with danger and intrigue at least until the cameras stop rolling.
When the star of a hit TV show is accidentally shipped from his Hollywood soundstage to New York City, he begins his biggest adventure yeta cross-country journey through the real world to get back to his owner and co-star, Penny (voice of Miley Cyrus).
Armed only with the delusions that all his amazing feats and powers are real, and the help of two unlikely traveling companions jaded, abandoned housecat named Mittens (voice of Susie Essman) and a TV-obsessed hamster named Rhino (voice of Mark Walton)Bolt discovers he doesn’t need superpowers to be a hero.
Personal view:
The characters in Bolt had won the hearts of many Walt Disney fans especially the interesting characters of
Blot, the dog.
Mittens, the cat.
Rhino, the hamster.

This show will enlighten many people and bring laughter to many fans who wishes to wish to temporary withdrew yourselves from all stress…
U will seriously enjoy and love it!

Everyone has dreams. Some wish to be a singer, while others might want to be a famous artiste…
Just like the director of the movie, Cape No. 7. While the process of shooting this movie, Cape No. 7, director Wei Te-sheng had to borrow money from people, friends to keep his movie dream fulfilled. I came to know about this during an interview article. It was not an easy for the director of Cape No. 7.
Yet, this home production, Taiwan movie has proved that with a good plot, interesting characters, a Taiwan production can also made a name in the Golden Horse Award or even in other award ceremony.
Background

Cape No. 7 is about Aga who left Hengchun for Taipei in the hope of becoming the singer in a band. After ten years of hard work, he returns home, his dream unfulfilled, and soon gets a job at the local post office. Tomoko is a Japanese model going down in popularity who is just asked to put together a local warm-up band for an upcoming Japanese super star beach concert to be held in Hengchun. However, recruiting the band members proves to be difficult a task as the search for the famous seven samurai. Still, seven ordinary Hengchun residents end up forming the band.
One day, Aga receives a parcel from Japan not meant for him – in fact, it was to have been delivered at Cape No.7., an address that doesn’t exist anymore… But even though he cannot find the address, Aga doesn’t return the parcel to Japan. Rather, he opens it to find love letters written some 60 years ago by a Japanese teacher and addressed to a Taiwanese girl he was deeply in love with, but had to leave behind Taiwan.
During the process of putting the band together, Aga and Tomoko are constantly at odds with each other, but thanks to the love letters, their conflict-ridden relationship slowly turns into love.
And even though they eventually find the lady the parcel was meant for, it seems that Aga and Tomoko are destined to follow the same footsteps as the girl and the teacher in their own love story… Tomoko must now decide whether she will stay together with Aga or go back to Japan alone.
My own personal view:
This movie might not be compared to Hollywood blockbusters yet in this movie, you will be able to see interesting characteristics, not a matter of age, from the youngest girl who play the piano to the oldest in the band, it is the uniqueness of the characteristics who enlighten the audience especially Taiwan audiences to be so supportive of their home grown movie.
Can our local production be able to stand out from Hollywood movies and just like Cape No. 7 be the second most selling movie in 2008?
We shall witness it…

It is a raining day.
There is a period of time whereby I really dislike rainy days as you had to stay at home and lots of outdoor activities will have to be postponed, whereas during sunny days, lots of activities can be done as usual.
Maybe I am someone how dislike to bring along an umbrella though it is raining, thus unless it is heavy rain, or else bringing an umbrella is not my style.
Life is like a human race. Having a aim in life keep us moving towards the goals we set in life. That why, though running a marathon is not an easy task, I had signed up for the Standard Chartered Marathon 2008. With the experience I had last year, before joining the run, lots of preparation need to be done. I guess, without a environment which keep me motivated, and as there are lots of temptation around, food and Mum’s cooking, friends influence of eating…
The chance of growing fat and unable to keep up to the schedule of keeping fit is the biggest obstacle.
Well, keeping the joining the marathon as the top secret, only 2 friends of mine, Ting Ann and Shawn who were also running the race, knew that the 3 of us are joining the race, not a single friend of mine knew it till yesterday after the race.
Maybe…
I am someone who dislike to tell people things that I am not confident of doing it well before hand, and promoting it in front of others, and the pressure that you will have if turnout you did not do well, and the expectation of people are not made, thus joining the race was a test of keeping it in top secret.
I was alone. Same as last year, yet with the experience from the race last year, I reached city hall one hour early to deposit my baggage to the baggage collection booth, and proceeded to the race starting point.

With my MP3, I was running alone, I was tough, it was not easy race for me, as this year, I did not make lots of preparation and the time for practising running is lesser…
But I did set target to meet in this race…
E.g.
1st
I can only go to the washroom after hitting East Coast Park when I reach the 21km mark.
2nd
I can only start walking after the 23km mark.
I guess warming up was not done properly, thus when reaching the 34km, I began to experience ache and pains around my ankle and thighs…
But I guess the respiration team was there to cheer the runners was really rewarding as the music, the cheers and the posters act with motivation words such as:
“Tough times don’t last, though tough runners do!”
“One steps ahead is one step nearer to finish line!”
“Impossible is nothing!”

I guess the biggest reward apart from getting the medal of participation, and also able to make the goal set in the race, but also the happiness within that me and my runners shared which is “No pain no gain!”

I guess, the 3 runners, Me, Ting Ann and Shawn will really understand this…

Best Mate in Army^ Ting Ann^
After the Race…
The best treat after the race is to be able to eat something that I like and having sufficient rest…
Yuan, Kah Leng, Keong and Colin arranged to meet up for dinner. kah Leng suggested for dinner at East Coast Park…
I was really a nice place to be at especially after meal, the cold breeze is the best refreshment that withdrew us away from all the stress we had…
The pictures of the food that I had shot at Hong Kong cafe speaks louder than words…

Sandwiches, desserts and my favourite drink, coffee and tea with grass jelly…

Meal dishes that Yuan, Kah Leng, Colin, Keong and I had ordered….
Looks good…Yeah!

After meal, we went to Marina Barrage for the breeze…
As staying at Marina Barrage for around an hour, we decided to go for bowling at safra @ Mount Faber…

The result of the bowling game…
I did improve!
