Weekend is definitely the 2 days of rest or 1 day of rest which each and everyone is always looking forward to, especially students, working adults.

Just as I thought that this weekend will be a normal weekend, I received a call from Colin and Keong, wanna go out to chill at Holland Village, as in the evening around 8pm, I received a call from keong saying,” Colin smsed said that he is bored…”

While doing my workout at Jurong East running track, I ran back house and had a quick shower and went to the central to buy dinner from myself and Mum.

Around 9 plus…

I received a call from Keong saying,” Wanna meet?”

I replied,” ok, see u all at 10.15pm…”

Holland Village

Colin drove his mini van, and we went to Holland Village to chill and chat around lots of stuff at work and me updating how I spent my time this entire week…

Keong brought me a gift from his overseas trip. While chatting about our next trip, Keong was suggesting whether are we available in December to go for a short trip to Southeast Asia countries…

I was thinking…should we?

Just as we were discussing this, we had decided to drive around Singapore to find a dream…

A dream that weekend will be different and while there will be confirmation answer that we might find on our journey to Marina Barrage….

The first place of our wandering tour, the place which I suggest to the rest, which we 3 of us had just discovered will become a regular place for us to find a balance as the cold breeze that hit our face did refresh us.

Marina Barrage is a place which I will recommend to couples as it is really romantic yet there is an disadvantages, for those who don’t drive, I guess as there are not shops or bus that link to the Marina Barrage thus the place is rather inconvenient for those who don’t drive there!

 

Yet it is a place which Singapore Flyer, Singapore River, The CBD district night view will be seen clearly especially with the lights that brighten the lonely city. It will be a place which I will recommend to U!

Changi Village

Our next stop is Changi Village, a place which I used to go especially during my army days. As my training camp is nearby to Changi Village thus it has become one of our hangover places which nightouts we will go!

As we passed by SAF Ferry terminal, I remembered the times whereby me and my army mates will say goodbye to our lovely home and we march to the ferry terminal, taking the ferry to Tekong…

We did not want to go home, as the night is still young, the sea breeze welcome our presence with warming arms, it is the feeling that we had longed for…

We stopped at the place where we used to organise our previous BBQ. It was pouring cats and dogs which brought lots of inconvenient to the entire BBQ yet this are bits and pieces of memories which my friends and I shared…

I guess apart from the IT fair at expo which IT lovers will not miss such opportunities to see the IT products that is having discount or selling at unusual low price. I guess for this week, this is the main event that will catch everyone’s attention.

Yet, for those who often read the papers or had been noticing the headlines for the news this week, the sad news of the death of Singaporean, Lo Hwei Yen, had caught everyone attention of the presence of Terrorism is a problem is not just a government issue but safety issues should not be comprised by each and every one of us especially the forces against such acts.

Well, some things can be prevented yet some we can’t just hope that there will be peace in everyone’s hearts.

Blood Donation Drive

 

This blood donation movement caught my attention yesterday from the news; it was a movement to bring about bloggers together to promote the blood donation drive event in Singapore.

In this economy tsunami, though my people are avoiding giving or spending too much money whenever we can, yet I guess, for charity organisation, if you are unable to give, we can still be part of the giving something or doing something for the society, by donating books or old textbooks to the poor or be a volunteer in homes or even donate your blood.

I hope as a blogger, myself, I would like to use my blog as a channel to drive such charitable act to the public and my regular viewers of my blog, to continue perform or do good deeds whenever possible.

November 23rd 2008, Sunday, a simple gathering for lunch was organised by Teck Wei aka Kelvin at Jurong Point. It was a celebration for our art Lao Shi ( Teacher)…

Time flies…

 I started to learn art from Kindergarden year 1 till Poly 1, under Lao Shi alone at Clementi but because as the years goes by, and Lao Shi wanna marge the students of the same year together, thus I was palced with  a couple of same group of classmates turned friends. Roy, Kelvin, Wan Zhen and Jia Liang (GoD) met in the same class at Toh Guan.

And eventually at year 2000 plus, we all met at the same venue for art lesson, at Lao Shi’s house. From initially, I used to attend lesson at my Clementi Ave 4 Blk 311 which is just below my block—> to Toh Guan Road and —> attending art class at Lao Shi place…

I guess, having to attend art class as a leisure is the greatest moments and memories kept especially when meeting a group of friends from the same kind…with the same likings, willing to spare out time during the weekend on every saturday for drawing and art classes.

I guess it is the best and greatest investment that my Mum had choosen for me since Kindergarden. Though during the year of drawing and attending the art classes, I was met with decision to take ART as a subject in school, and to give up as the lack of interest especially in primary 4, the streaming year, but eventually due to the school commitment in CCA and other subjects, I decided to take ART as a leisure only every saturday or sunday.

Though to some of my classmates or friends who knew that I used to attend art classes but because of secondary school CCAs commitments, I choose to take it as a leisure without a cerification, but it is a skill that I posses till lifetime.

Thank you all for the greatest moments! Yr 2008, Novemeber 23rd @ Jurong Point and all these years!

After exam, I had occupied the time to do the things I like, meet the friends I missed and also updated each other about our stuff etc. Hit the gym to do some workout on Sunday to keep myself fit and while walking down the street, I was amazed by the lighting for christmas which had brighten the nights of Orchard Road.

The christmas trees at Takashimaya is the one that caught my attention. It’s placed with red, green and white teddy bears.

Personal view:

I personally like the movie, Quantum of Solance especially the actions are solid and the main focus that fans can look forward to. The graphics, actions are what u pay for in this movie!

However, I don’t know whether is my english not as good or it’s time to brush up my english as the plot of the story is quite confusing, as movies critics also highlight such disappointment of the plot of the story.

Overall rating,  3.8 out of 5.

Christmas is coming….

 

Finally my exam is over, which also commences my holiday till January. I had planned to do a couple of stuff during this long holiday that I had been waiting for and hope to do…

I guess, the only regret for this exam was I wasn’t in my best condition to do the papers. I was ill with headache, cough and cold.

That is just a reason why I should be working even harder. But I guess, nervous and my language is the barrier that I should work on…

 

On the day, when I was on my way to submit my project by hand to SIM HQ, which I was 4 days earlier before deadline.

I was given 4 extra days to rest before I started my study week for the exam preparation, yet as expected, I will be ill because of two weeks of burning midnight oil and sleeping at only 6-7am in the morning.

As I was rushing for my powerpoint slides, report and also my video to be submitted before deadline.

Thus such arrangement to sleep less was the only way to finish my project on time…

I was delight that the project was done and no matter how much grades I got, I knew I place in lots of effort and sleepless night to show my best to do it….

During the extra four days of rest, I tried to sleep normally at 2am, but I guess, I was unable to withstand the changes of the weather. Thus I got a bad cold and cough….

My medicine that was prescribed by my doctor. I was obedient to make sure my conditions was under control…

On the last second day of my paper… I draft a post entry which I delayed to be published on my blog….

One more day to the last paper of my exam. I can’t wait for tomorrow to come. Three papers in this week had drained off my brain juice and my energy to handle the two papers, one paper on Cross-cultural and one paper on psychology (Individual in Society).

I will be taking the last paper which is on marketing.

I hope I can do well. Seriously yet, I feel that we must tried our best to do well in any conditions we are, but most importantly, for those who are having exam at this period of time, do take care of your health.

While taking my paper on psychology,  just after the exam commence in less than 15 minutes, a student who is ill broke the silence of the exam hall, which shocked lots of students to stop writing and wondered on the situation.

Due to some personal reason, I can’t write in details…

But I hope by writting down this post blog will create the awareness to those who are having exam at this time, though exam are important, yet health is more important and should be taken good care of!

And I hope this students who might be taking the same paper will be strong to take the paper again as I feel u will be given the chance to do due to your health, and I hope you will be feeling better now!

Finally, after two weeks of hardwork, my marketing mix project has come to an end. 2 weeks of hardwork, borrowing of materials, entering in and out of libraries for research purposes. Reading and doing the references, cover, content to typing out 5000 words of report+ video recording+ powerpoint slides…

I need a good sleep to continue the spirits of war as exams are coming soon. 3 paprs on one week.

30 minutes ago. I submitted my poject which I had to burn into a cd containing a video of my project presentation which my sis and my niece had helped with the recording of the video.

I thought I was able to complete the video recording on sunday yet I was nervous and total, it took me one more day to fully digest the content of my project and present it on camera.

Nervous and tired.

But I guess, my niece and sister were more exhausted as 6 NGs and finally on monday nite, with just 2 NGs. I did it.

The report

The report took me more than 2 weeks, with research and typing out the content and placed them in my own words.

2 weeks, I only slept at 7am in the morning and woke up at 2pm to continue the spirit of typing the report out and hoping I can submit the project few days before the deadline(this friday) as I hate doing last min work.

There will be time for improvement to make if mistakes occurs.

The Powerpoint slides

This is more than what is expected from the marketing mix project. But thankfully, the slides was done concurrently with the report. 20 slides in total is required.

I guess now I need to utilise the coming days for my examination preparation.

My blog post yesterday was strong in theme in expressing some things in life that had happened yet I guess there will be time that we should be quiet and settled down with our heart and soul. I guess, the tools that help is music.

I was surprised to know that MAY day new album 後青春期的詩 was rank 1st in sales 13,0000 copies sold in Taiwan. As for Jay Chou new album, 魔杰座 was rank 2nd with only 10,0000 copies sold. Yet the numbers for both album are still going up. Well, with Jolin the next to release her english book and album and her new chinese album, the chinese music industry will be shining as before.

Well, I really like MAY day single, 你不是真正的快樂 especially the lyrics.

Do you always think that those people who wears a smile are really happy? Well, maybe not. Yes, maybe I am one of those who likes to wear a smiles and laugh loudly to hide some stuff from people.

Well, I guess that is the safe way to keep others from being worried or just to stop any worries that people might have. I guess, smiles are the safe zone to be in. This is one of the best hits I will recommend in this album, other hits that I do recommend are…

2nd hits 出头天, 3rd hits 突然好想你, 4th hits 生存以上 生活以下 and 5th hits 爆肝.

 

 

Though I am not a fan of MAY day from their first album, but the improvement and the songs in this album did surprise me with the strong style of the album theme.

I was thinking about should I be straight to the point with my presentation of points for my Marketing Mix. Look at the time stated, 5.49am.

Another sleepless night. After my army days of doing midnight duties, the habit of doing things at night is getting worse, I hope I can change this habit yet at night, it is the best time for me to work out my ideas and type them.

Well, as getting a bottle of water from the refrigerator, I was thinking about project.

This afternoon…

I received a call from a junior from Republic Poly saying, “There will be a BBQ for SEG students.”

I did not give an immediate reply, as I was thinking whether should I go or should I not?

Well, the girl, my junior was supposed to call me at 5.30pm, but I guess she had a whole list to call, so she might have forgotten about me. I sms my sisters, Sherline, and Leexian whether are they going, as I hate to be in BBQ or evetns whereby you know no one from the event or party.

I don’t like to talk to strangers or people who they might know me, or used to know act as though they are your “closed mates” and I guess, there are people in SEG that I dislike to see, or just hope I will not see them again though sometimes their features do appear on my mind…

Well…It’s time to move on and left those memories behind…

As for the BBQ, I guess….!Maybe!

 

The second week…

Yet, I hope the second week of night which I supposed to be sleeping which was spent on ideas, collecting and collaborate my points will eventually lead me to finish my project. This project is important for me, as there is a overall project that determine my passing for this module, Marketing Mix. As the overall exam is taken out and it is replaced with this project to view our performance.

I was tagging at Yu Chen’s blog, an army fren of mine which I will just view his blog to see updates, as well as Colin to get some idea of how there are doing in their life and sort of give me ideas to write my blog post for this week.

Quote a phase from his blog,” I can accept ppl telling me off abt the things i do, as long as the words tat they used ain’t strong or insulting. So the bottom line is : If u want to be direct, pls consider the use of words as some words can hurt ppl (even though these words may seems “normal” to u).”

A shy friend^ of mine, Yu chen, someone who is thrifty with words yet his sms and msn words do let me feel there is friends that can be trusted!
While I was bold to write the next part of my blog post, I do fear the lose of a friendship but I guess, there is nothing to lose, as if REAL friends are there because they are able to pass the test.

Yet I hate to hide some stuff especially things that I feel strongly, I should say it out…so if u feel u are the party involved, and if u are hurt with this words I gonna say below then I should say, take care in your life!

Some weeks back…

One of “BEST” mate was asking me out for dinner, yet I was quite late. I did not feel anything, seriously, but regret to type that out and feeling that way, but after minutes, I should feel a bit regretful…( Read on to find out)

Well, it is raining heavily. I wanted to call to cancel the meeting but because of the heavy rain, and I was thinking my poly mate might be on the way as he stayed in the North but for me, I got to travel to North-central area for dinner…

Thus, I did not make the call. Travelling to meet the friend, I was reading a book, I began the habit of bringing a book along to read as to kill boredom on the bus and MRT as to fully utilise my time instead of thinking of some stuff that will never get an answer in life…

The dinner was ok. I was introduced and brought to my fren company, it’s more on SELF and environment which he is now working…From the dinner chatting session, I did know that he wanna sell me something, I was alert as during this time, whereby I am not working for the time because of project and exam, I got to be cautious in spending.

Then as he shared, I was figuring things out. It was more of a information collection then a friend and friend conversation. Well, people change because of environment, but I can understand as he might need me to help him in his sales. I wanted help if I really can and to find out more about myself.

I was brought to the company, and taken to different departments, quite interesting, in his presentation of stuff on facial, feng shui etc, from the words he used, he was keen to sell me some stuff which was clear and getting me in as part of the business.

Well, because of my lateness, the company or the shop was almost closing which cause missed a chance to almost paying a sum to know my particulars accounting in knowing my life happening and how can I change from my current situation… Well, it do help me save some money…!

I was a bit confused and disappointed that a real friend asking and knowing how are you stuff is meant for his use on sales and marketing instead of really interested to how u are doing in life…

Words to this friend,

Work out on the tactics to use in targeting your customers. As such tactics u used, as you are still new, might cause fear and distance to people around you and your other friends.

I am not angry just a fact of life that we got to accept, 人在江湖身不又及. (I hope I type them rightly).

I do hope you will do well in your sales, and more sales as you need to feed your family and your school fee in future. Maybe I will try other stuff to know myself better in your company, maybe not now ba as I am not your targeted segment…(marketing facts again)

But I do hope friendship still can last even you might be read this and feel that I am direct.

Well, you can say I am fearful or lack of boldness, yet future stuff in knowing more about me is better to keep it a secret then to know it and unable to discover the surprises.

As I believe life is there for you to choose which path to take, even sometimes with the right tools or God, it is still us that makes the decision and take the path to take in life. No one can stop.

Well, maybe my family was right to stop me from learning psychology, as people who try to lie from me, or try to hide some stuff from me, will eventually be made known to me ba. Sometimes, some things before people try to lie or want to hide them, but sometimes this will just be the part that hurts, well maybe with scientific proof of studies from psychology..that I had studied, thus I began to be more sensible and sensitive with people as I am taught in class.

But in the end, I took psychology for myself…and knowing people, more classmates and tutors from SIM and people from woks of life.

People come and go, but like there is no everlasting relationship and friendship…even family members will leave us one day!

Sometimes, different perspective in life, or even a wrong delivering in thoughts might cause a friendship or something to be lose, yet, sometimes, it is better to know the true colours of people or to hear the truth before knowing the person closest to you, are actually the person which is the furthest in your world.

Just like people might spend money on cars to feel good driving down the road, facial products to hide some wrinkles or spots on faces, games to fill their boredom and to fill the outer goodness. Yet they lack the inner beauty in character.

Use your money wisely!

Look at the time!^

It’s at 6.11am. Don’t get the wrong idea, I did not change my normal routine to wake up at such a early morning to commence my weekend.

I did not sleep for the night. It has been the 5th night. I had not been able to sleep, for the past few days. I guess I had my time frame to do the right thing and figuring out the right time for sleep, meals, and other activities had gone into a disrupting stages whereby the time for sleeping had been used to compile and get my points right for my Markting mix project.

Maybe at nite, it is the best time to read, verify and ensure my points are right before placing them into the documents that will be submitted for marking.

Worried ! Definitely as a first year student.

I need to make sure I had my first year of student the right start of the Uni life that will be spreading out in the next 3 years. Thus to get things started right, I have to make sure my basic sure is done at a “perfect” or put it in this way, a stage whereby I will be pleased with my own work and my tutors and the marker will show his or her generosity in giving more marks to my assignment as this is a assignment based module that there is NO written exam ( Heng in a way but…bad in another aspect as more time commitment involved)

Relax…

Music is my best friend. My MP3 is the best friend of mine whenever I am walking on the street or feeling alone. Recently, the chinese music industry has shown its refulgent sunrise again after many newcomers like Yoga Lin, Jam Hsiao and Aska Yang are the POPULAR Name of 2008 Chinese music industry.

WHAT AM I HEARING IN MY MP3 PLAYER…

FM S.H.E

S.H.E 11th album uses the concept of radio. FM S.H.E as a title of the new album. A fresh idea. With rhythm of mix of fast and love songs, which did surprise my hearing pleasure. Album second hits 宇宙小姐 (達芙妮廣告曲姐妹作) which is an advertisement theme song in taiwan had become of hit songs when it was released.  Yet fans of S.H.E in singapore and Taipei had choose the first Hit 沿海公路的出口 as the first hits to be aired in Yes 933 and radio station in Taiwan and around asia.

I personally like 3rd album hits, track 5,天亮了 of the mix of electric and dance feel rhythm and the well blend of instruments used in this song had brought out a more dazzling and radiant S.H.E spirits.

I guess the four hits is a song written by Selina and composed by Jay Chou. For me, as a supporter of Jay Chou himself but his music and MTV did impress me of this evergreen newly re-composed song 安靜了 is quite a amazed feel for the lyrics and the rhythm.

 

 

Overall,

This album do surprise me of the song presentation like 5th album hits 女孩當自強, and 6th album hits 店小二 etc. Yet, I did see improvement of S.H.E as now limiting to just one album per year, thus the pressure will be enlarge if no improvement were made. Yet as the 3 girls are not Jolin Tsai, which we can’t expect stuff like Jolin will learn and demonstration in dance yet the stylish S.H.E spirits will keep support from fans.

Who’s NEXT?

It’s her! Jolin Tsai finally.

Yet this is Jolin Tsai last album in EMI as written in papers. As Jolin Tsai is supposed to be the Jolin last album with EMI thus there’s a high chance of her going Warner Music.

Well, this is not the main point. The main point and surprise for this album…It is an ENGLISH Book and Album!愛的練習語!

2 in 1.

Yes. It was a delayed production by EMI which supposed to be published in March and it was delayed to July, however, as there are delayed with the promotion and permit to sell the engligh book and album in China thus it was scheduled to release at the end of October 31.

In terms of songs, it has a total of 10 english songs, with Jolin teaching Dvd of her pronouncation of english words which targeted for chinese speaking fans and listeners or feel you should brush up your english phases in dating the person you like.

Ha ha! This is the right book.

Well sadly as this is Jolin Tsai in EMi, Jolin will not be promoting this book and album as she is now preparing for her upcoming new chinese album which will be released in December. Thus there will only be songs played on radio, or books or poster as advertisement.

6.17pm, Monday, 20/10/08, Stuffy

My previous entry was a week ago. I had practically reduced my blog entries due to work, studies commitments as well as to write something which is really experiencing or changing my life recently. Thus the 3 important roles are placed as title for this blog entry!

How is everything doing? All my army friends? All my poly friends, All secondary friends, and primary school friends as well as other frens from different community?

Well, I am ok. For the past one month, I had experienced one month of work with studies in the night, which really drained my brain juice and physical to the maximum. Rushing my 3 TMAs projects and currently 2 projects on hand, one is group project and the other is individual work. I am running out of ideas, seriously!

Finally left with 1 project on hand!

 Last Saturday Evening

I finally met up my 3 poly friends, Jun Yuan, Kah Leng and Wei Keong. Well, Colin is absent with a valid reason: A date with friend.

Meeting time: 6.45pm

The arrival time of my 3 friends was perfectly one and a half hours later, well, asking me whether am I angry for their lateness?

No .

As I find no reason for me to be angry as they used to wait for me for such long hour thus waiting for someone and being the person, people waiting for, it’s is just a role exchange!

Another reason

As the time to meet up is not as frequent compared to the past, thus the bits of lateness is ok, as its almost one month, that me, Jun Yuan and Kah Leng had met. As for Keong, the last time we met was during Elva Hsiao album Promotion period @ Expo concert and autograph session @ Bishan Junction 8 as well as dinner before school.

Dinner was quite reasonable affordable and was really great food at Vivo City at a Hongkong Style cafe.

 

 

The side order was French Fries with Seaweed favouring

 

I ordered Chicken cutlet served on the pan.

 

Kah Leng ordered Korean Style Noodle.

 

Look closely at how the Noodles are served…especially the egg!

 

 

Keong and Jun Yuan ordered baked rice.

 

And not forgetting, cheese Tofu…

I guess the pictures of the dishes we ordered speaks louder than words of description.

After dinner, we hesitated of the place to go after dinner. Thus as Yuan was opening up to suggestion, I gave my vote to East Coast Park for drink or desserts.

I ordered the Bean curd with mixed fruits.

On the way home

The ride near Marine Parade with video taking of Wei Keong ’s expression of wanna take a cab home because he wants to use of his stomachache did brought himself nearer to the Best Actor Award of the Year!
